Am I Doing This Right?
I have millions of email addresses (some not great, some great).
I buy .info domain from GoDaddy - $2.99/yr. I buy cheap VPS server $3-$7/month. I install 15-day free trial of cPanel and configure email account, etc. I upload Interspire and configure. I make sure rDNS points to server. I upload email list and send out ~200 emails/hr per server. I monitor open rates, they are not great (0.6% - 2.0%) It doesn't take long to get blacklisted, but still SOME are getting through. What could I be doing to improve my rates? Am I doing it totally wrong? At the moment I am running 8 servers, sending about 30,000 emails daily. Any advice? |

Yes, you are doing it wrong :)
- Get dedicated server, - install Virtualmin, - get domains different than .info, .pw and any other "exotic" tld, - install MailWizz and upload your list, - install PowerMTA, - Get VPS with mutiple IPs, - Tunnel the IPs to the dedicated server, - Configure PMTA and the domains with the tunneled IPs |

RE: Am I Doing This Right?
no you are not doing anything wrong
you need to understand that open rate only counts when the recipient views the email as HTML, people like me who disables html or image view on emails will not be tracked by any kind of software but nevertheless its still an opened email you just did not know it. You are on the right track, what you need to do is scale your work meanig buy more vps or vps with lots of ip's and rotate them so it doesnt get blacklisted or blocked easily. Spending on expensive stuffs like dedicated server and powermta is not a very good idea when you are a beginner |

I think you are fine...as annie said open rate only counts when recipient views the email as HTML. Also, avoid .info domains and use workstations with multiple IPs

RE: Am I Doing This Right?
sure , but the problem with that is if your vps has a problem like downtimes and complaints then all your ip's are down too.
not a good idea to put everything in a single basket |

RE: Am I Doing This Right?
i think when ston3d says Dedicated server he does not mean those expensive dedicated servers(smtp) which is use for mailing
i think he means a separate server where you will install your softwares, and then another vps / ip's to send out mails i think when ston3d says Dedicated server he does not mean those expensive dedicated servers(smtp) which is use for mailing i think he means a separate server where you will install your softwares, and then another vps / ip's to send out mails yeah, i think |
