Is that the Tor Browser?

RE: A cool site I just ran across for all sorts of stuff...
Smithnowt kindly shared a browser name via PM that I had never heard of. I downloaded it and am using it now (still getting accustomed to it). I love it! I can't do some things in it (yet) that I can with Chrome or Opera but I love it for its ease of use and functionality.

It's called K-Meleon and it makes all the difference in the world for browsing sites like the ones referenced in the OP.

I'm still having issues with the downloads (looks like you need a paid/premium account to download ... I'm still working that out). But K-Meleon is great. It reminds me of a fuller-featured version of the Avant browser.

So, I'm here to say, smithnowt replied to my updated post at #4. I no longer get the scary red warning screen and my browsing on the kuyhaa.me site is going smoothly.

But the Russian is killing me!

I've got a splitting headache and my eyes are blood-shot from trying to work through it to find what I want.

And when I find what I want, the download links seem to point to premium file share sites.

Can anyone who's successfully downloaded a file tell me how they're doing it?

RE: A cool site I just ran across for all sorts of stuff...
Greetings Dadmyx, Actionguy, Chenwiz, Layna - and thanks for replying !!
Regarding the site I posted about specifically, what brought me to it was a search for an older app, and while there I looked around and found several OS ISOs that I needed.

The foreign language gave me pause until I just kept a G Translate tab open and pasted the bits in which looked promising to find out their meaning...until I got what I needed.
There were several goofy file sharing sites used there, but upon seeing any like that I just close that tab and move on to another mirror if there are any.
(I may have noticed 1 or 2 premium thingies, but I clicked 'em off too quickly to care - that is the beauty of right-clicking on links to open them in new tabs IMO.)
Given that I didn't need much, my time spent there was not excessive - just enough to show me that it had alot of potentially useful stuff that other folks here might want.

K-Meleon is really the best browser for me because it is very plain, minimal and uses the classic menu structures found in all browsers before they got chrome-ized to death...

Worthy of note IMO:
- There is the official version, as well as a very cleverly modded version done by a Russian poster at their forum called Rodocop, which is also portable rather than making folks install it, and that is what I use, mostly - unless a site is a real PITA, then I'll fire up Vivaldi for a short while (only as needed though).

- K-Meleon can be made to use some Firefox plugins and there are directions for doing that as well as lists of what works in their forum, which is what I've used to customize mine even further.

- ABP works very well in K-Meleon.

For anyone who may wish to try K-Meleon, here are a couple of links.
Please note that most of the latest info and releases are best found via posts at their forum:
http://kmeleonbrowser.org/
http://kmeleon.sourceforge.net/
They both lead to the same place, usually - and every so often their site goes down, but so far it has always come back up after a while...the community there is very helpful too.

@All,

I'll attest to the ease of browsing with K-Meleon.

Here is an earlier post from Smithnowt re-introducing me to the browser and providing additional links for the same...
