WAKE UP !!!=> Newbie members CAN be board spammers.

There has been another rash of board spam here at BBHF lately.

At another time when such a rash came, it was via well matured member accounts with very few posts - which got caught (thankfully !!) and done away with by the Mods and Admin.

Seems like the same board spammers are back lately and have registered NEW accounts one after another trying to get traffic from the many members here.

Whenever I happen to see this trash I do what I can to alert members, BUT=>
I don't spend my life visiting here endlessly, so the OTHER REAL members here also need to watch for, avoid and even report these board spammers as they show up.

Here is a common reply that I use:

BOTH are badware sites.

ALL members should stay FAR, FAR away from this sort of mysteriously sourced stuff.

Also - it looks like this is just the same board spammer using a different nick after being banned...board spammers are NASTY !!!

Just some more info to add within the same topic area...

We have at least 1 member sharing WP add-ons that are ~100MB DLs.

In particular, that member is whining that his internet is so very BAD that he simply CANNOT provide a genuine VT scan for others to check - just a fake URL based non-scan of the sharing site itself.

It must be asked=>
How did he ever upload those 100MB files if his internet is so terrible ??

Others he shares are UNDER 10MB - and make the same excuses for NOT scanning such smaller ones.

Plain and simple=>
I call BS on such utter nonsense.

He seeks sympathy while doing the membership a disservice - simple as that.

And from a personal standpoint:
We have poor/slow internet here as well, so I don't even TRY to upload or DL huge things, nor do I make silly excuses for doing things in WRONG WAYS.
