[Question]SEO URL Change and Rank Impact
Hi.. I have questions..
I made content in my site with "2016" .. For example : best lolipop 2016, and the url is : http://blsample.com/best-lolipop-2016 and it is ranked at number 2 on google.. When it change year, I change the title and url to : http://blsample.com/best-lolipop-2016-2017 .. I'm using wordpress, so it automatically redirect from 2016 to 2016-2017 page. Couple days after that, my rank is gone and my traffic halved. Can people explain to me about this? And how I fixed this incident so I can get my rank back? Is it really a mistake to change it ( url ) like that? Thanks. |

I think don't change url If you are on top.

By the link changed you might have messed up the seo I have seen that happen for sure

Currently it seems that google does not appreciate much when it associates keyword with the domain of the site.

Hi. Thanks for the answer all of you.. For the future reference, I won't change URL when in the top anymore >_<..
But, for now, is there any solution? Should I go back to the old URL? Thanks..  |
