I like the idea of Negative seo if all else fails, but I'm not that familiar with how to use GSA.

I've watched a little bit of Jimmy Kelley's GSA course, but he said you had to have proxies if you wanted to scale it, so I didn't bother to continue watching the rest of the course.

So.. would I need proxies for GSA to use the software, or no?

PS: If you have any good recommendations of a noobie friendly GSA course, please let me know

Nothing wrong with additional opinions. This is the place to ask these questions. Maybe OP isn't totally polished in the subject. BBHF has enough material to allow anyone to learn and promote pretty much anything and succeeded as like ng as they are determined. I have been a roofer for 30 years sometimes things get by me , and when you no everything you might as well no nothing.

Ok back to your last question.

You don't need to use private proxies,
I do but you can use public. You just need 1000s of them.
Options>>submission>>proxies>>configure>>options.
You can set up gsa to scrape for public proxies every time you
get below a certain number say 1000.
