Here is my version; i'm using windows 8 64 bit..

1. Adding the url/ip on host file is not work for me, so i block the url (thebestspinner.com and thebestspinner.com3) directly on my internet router..nothing can get pass it. :p
2. Install TBS > run TBS > login (leave login details empty) > close TBS (you got an error message here)
3. Remove the url on router (see step no.1)
4. Run and update TBS, exit. *yes it should work here, BUT there is no thesaurus available. So proceed to step no.5.
5. Change TBS properties (run in compatibility mode: Windows 7) in C:\Program Files (x86)\TheBestSpinner3
6. Run TBS and download the thesaurus.

maybe you guys can apply step no.5 before no.2.. do some experiment, it should work!
